#WildcatsMeanBusiness encourages people to support Wildcat community

MARQUETTE — Although their campus remains empty, NMU is finding ways to make their presence felt in the community.

NMU launched their #WildcatsMeanBusiness campaign yesterday, which encourages the community to support local businesses that sponsor NMU events and programming, along with alumni–owned businesses.

“We’re really looking to shine a spotlight on those wildcat businesses that have shifted their business strategy that keep focusing on their resolve throughout this time, but also shining a spotlight on businesses that are doing their part,” said David Nyberg, Director of Corporate Engagement at NMU. “We’re really looking to highlight these stories and celebrate what it means to be a wildcat supporting our community partnerships.”

The campaign encourages members of the community to support local businesses, whether through purchasing gift cards, takeout orders from restaurants, or however else they can help businesses during this difficult time.
