MARQUETTE — Just a friendly reminder, the deadline for the registration to vote closes on Tuesday, October 9.

Absentee ballots are currently being issued, but it is not too late to register to vote in person.

In the last two months, the city has made almost 400 changes within the system.

Everyone is encouraged to vote.

“We’re out there, we’re active, I really think that there’s been kind–of an uptick” said Marquette City Clerk, Kris Hazeres. “I encourage everyone and anyone to vote, it’s an important part of what’s going on in history.”

If you are looking to find out how to register to vote; the best place would be to fill out in person by visiting the City Clerk’s office or any County or Secretary of State office.

Otherwise, applications can be filled out online.
