Ojibwa Express gas station closing shop

MARQUETTE — The Ojibwa Express gas station on US-41 in Marquette will be closing today.

The gas station had opened up shop in 2015 and is now on its last day for business. They are currently out of unleaded and premium gas, with only a little bit of diesel left as of 3:00 pm. The station is planning on staying open as long as possible to sell its in-store products.

The employees who work there are sad to be closing but due to the circumstances they are at least happy to have the communities support.

“We are more of a… you know small mom and pop feeling store,” said Emily Moore, Ojibwa Express employee. “It is really hard to compete with the bigger stores in town. Even though it has just been such a short time we have really made a lot of awesome connections with our customers, a lot of amazing people and just a lot of amazing businesses.”

The gas station will offer discounts throughout the gas station all depending on the item being purchased.
