PWPL Children’s Library to temporarily relocate to Westwood Mall

MARQUETTE — The Peter White Public Library Children’s Library will be moving to a temporary location in the Westwood Mall of Marquette Township in May of 2018 due to library construction, according to a press release from the library.

The Children’s Library will be closed for the move from April 30th through May 6th, 2018. The Children’s Library will reopen on Monday May 7th, 2018 at the Mall location.

Children’s Library programming will be suspended from April 30th through June 8th, 2018 and will resume on June 9th at the Westwood Mall location with the 2018 Summer Reading Program Kick Off Party. The Children’s Library should move back to the renovated and expanded space at PWPL in November 2018.

Starting May 9, 2018, the PWPL Children’s Library at the Westwood Mall will have the following hours:

  • Monday – Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Sunday: Closed

The Westwood Mall is making space available for the Children’s Library providing the PWPL cover the cost of utilities. The Children’s Library will be located in the former Vanity Store, adjacent to Bath and Body Works.

Construction will also require that the entire lower level of the library is closed to the public starting May 1st. Marquette Arts and Culture Center offices will be relocated to the Peter White Conference Room located on the main floor.

The Community Room will be closed from May 1st through the duration of the lower level project.
