Job fair that builds careers
MARQUETTE COUNTY — There is a job fair coming this week and it’s searching for more people to start working in construction. Home Builders Association of the Upper Peninsula is in search of people willing to put the time and effort into the career of construction.
“This Thursday the 22nd I’m going to be at the Michigan Works office over by Econofoods for our H.B.A. career, we call it our Construction Career Day Fair. Whoever wants a job in the construction industry, I will have a couple of builders there doing interviews. It’s from 1 to 5 p.m. and I’m going to be pre-screening applicants. There are not even 10 questions; I ask them about their driver’s license, their experience in construction. We are hiring general laborers with no experience. So anyone looking for a job in the construction industry, we really encourage you to come out,” said, Executive Officer, Sarah Schultz.
The event will be this Thursday, March 22nd from 1:00-5:00 p.m. where you can have the chance to find the start of a great career.
The location of the event is 1498 Odovero Dr. Marquette Michigan.
