DIGS Gastropub celebrates one year anniversary
MARQUETTE — DIGS Gastropub on Washington Street in Marquette celebrated their one year anniversary today.
The Lake Superior Community Partnership held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the milestone. DIGS will be continuing the celebration tomorrow with the second annual DIGS Bash.
In addition to thanking their customers for a successful first year, the party will also celebrate the St. Patrick’s Day and the Northern Michigan University vs. Michigan Tech hockey game.
“We’ve had such an out pour of love and thanks from the community, that’s why we’re here,” said Patrick Digneit, co-owner of DIGS Gastropub. “It seems like it was two days ago that we just opened, so it’s been fast.”
In the future, DIGS is looking to expand their catering operations. The restaurant will also be debuting a new food and cocktail menu for the spring and summer during the first week of May.
