Ohio man transported to hospital after single-snowmobile accident

AU TRAIN — An Ohio man was airlifted to the hospital following a snowmobile accident Thursday night.

At 9:25 p.m., the Alger County Sheriff’s Office received a call reporting a single snowmobile personal injury accident. Twenty-six year-old Keith Brammer was traveling southbound on Trail #7 near the intersection of M-94 in Au Train.  Officials say that Brammer failed to negotiate a curve as his snowmobile exited the trail and ultimately, he was ejected off the vehicle and into a tree.

Brammer was transported from the scene by Alger EMS and Alger Rescue “21” unit to the staging area at the intersection of Trail #8 and M-94. He was then transferred to UPHS – Marquette by Valley Med Flight.

The accident is still under investigation.
