Marquette County Medical Care Facility hosts Resident Senior Prom
ISHPEMING — The Marquette County Medical Care Facility hosted a Resident Senior Prom over the weekend.
Residents spent the Saturday afternoon socializing, dancing and eating with their friends and families. Outfits were donated by Enchanted Bridal and St. Vincent de Paul, both of Ishpeming, and were tailored by staff at the facility.
There was a DJ and a photo booth, and volunteers from local high schools were on hand to dance with prom goers. The care facility even crowned a prom king and queen.
“I think just the joy on our resident’s faces, the smiles were wonderful today,” said Sheri Hewitt, an administrative assistant at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility. “The facility is just really happy to have everyone involved and we’re having a great time.”
This was the first Resident Senior Prom at the facility. Guests, residents and staff in attendance enjoyed themselves at the event.
