Contreras commits to Bay College
MUNISING — Mustangs guard Cade Contreras announced on his Twitter account that he has made a verbal commitment to Bay College next season. He says he already knows a lot of the players on the team as well as head coach Matt Johnson.
“I got to know Coach Johnson about two years ago. I went to his fall league in Gladstone, so I knew him from there. And I went to a couple of his training sessions, and then I played AAU for him,” Contreras said.
Contreras is going into his final year at Munising and he’s glad to make this decision so he can focus on the upcoming season for the Mustangs.
“It’s pretty big. I got it off my chest so now I can focus on making a run. We’ve got a good team this year. Hopefully, we can make it down to the Brez [Breslin Center],” said Contreras.
Contreras says he will major in secondary education.
