Football team ranked 20th in the nation

HOUGHTON, Mich. — The Michigan Tech football team moved up two spots in this week’s D2Football.com national poll to No. 20. The Huskies debuted in the poll last week before earning a win to improve to 2-0 this past Saturday (Sept. 12).

Tech defeated Malone 28-27 at Sherman Field for its second win of the season by a touchdown or less.

The Huskies are one of four GLIAC teams ranked in the poll (all in the top 20). The others are Ferris State (No. 3), Ohio Dominican (No. 14) and Grand Valley State (No. 16).

Michigan Tech plays its first road game of 2015 this week as it travels to Saginaw Valley State for a 1 p.m. kickoff on Saturday (Sept. 19).
