Child abuse defendant bound over to circuit court

IRON MOUNTAIN — Arrested on child abuse charges earlier this month, an Iron Mountain man has waived his district court preliminary exam.

Ryan Barr, 27, will now have his circuit court arraignment on February 17th.

Barr was arrested on January 13th by the Iron Mountain Police Department following an investigation into the report of a possible child abuse incident on August 31st of last year.

He faces two charges: 2nd degree child abuse and 2nd degree child abuse committed in the presence of another child.
