Wisconsin pair sentenced on meth charges

Two Wisconsin residents were sentenced in Gogebic County Circuit Court Tuesday after pleading guilty to meth charges.

James Kolehmainen, 27, of Hurley, will spend one year in jail and 18 months on probation.  He was credited for 116 days served.

His co-defendant, Rebecca Cyr, 23, also of Hurley, will spend nine months in jail and 18 months on probation.

The pair was also sentenced to 90 days in an inpatient treatment facility.  That move depends on the availability of open beds and funding.

They both pled guilty to one count of operating/maintaining a meth lab.  Kolehmainen and Cyr were arrested by the Wakefield Post of the Michigan State Police in September 2013 after a traffic stop in Ironwood Township.
