Providers of holistic health care options from throughout the Upper Peninsula are gathering this weekend to help residents find out more about what they offer.

The 15th Annual Spring Holistic Health Fair will be taking place on Saturday at the U.P. SportsPlex in Marquette. The fair provides an opportunity for the community to explore holistic, complementary, and alternative health care services offered by U.P. holistic health care professionals.

“There are over fifty different modalities, different kinds of practitioners in the area, and so it’s a great opportunity to come and sample,” said Natural Connections Chairperson Diana Oman. “You can get information, some are giving samples, some are giving products, it’s a very fun day.”

Massage, fitness, biofeedback, and natural foods and body care products are among the many aspects of holistic medicine that visitors to the event can sample.

“We’re going to have some presentations that day that are running through the day as well,” Oman added, “and a lot of the businesses also donate prizes, so there are drawings throughout the day for sample products.”

The fair runs from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., and both admission and parking are free. For more information on the Spring Holistic Health Fair, you can visit the Natural Connections Marquette website.
