Day camp keeps kids active

Climbing, bouncing, and tumbling are all words that you could use to describe what most kids like to do. A summer day camp in Marquette is offering kids a chance to do this on a daily basis – under supervision.

PEAK Gymnastics and Fitness is hosting a day camp this summer. It’s designed to keep kids busy with a variety of fun activities, most of which focus on keeping the kids active and healthy.

“That’s kind of our goal here at PEAK,” Program Director Janine Chapman says. “We like to keep active and you know socially interacting, but also staying and shape and moving around as much as possible, get their exercise for the day. They’re definitely tired when they go home.”

From climbing the rope, hanging from the rings, playing outside or even arts and crafts, there is something for everyone.

Chapman added, “They enjoy every single activity that we have in here. They like to play on the different mats and they build forts, and they do obstacle courses with them, and things like that.”

PEAK Gymnastics is on Wright Street in Marquette.
