The Marquette Maritime Museum, in conjunction with the Marquette Downtown Development Authority, Marquette County Convention and Visitors Bureau and the City of Marquette are hosting a record five tall ships will at Mattson Lower Harbor Park July 19th-21st.
The HINDU, S/V DENIS SULLIVAN, PEACEMAKER, HALIE & MATTHEW and Marquette’s own COASTER II will be in the harbor starting.
All of the ships, except the PEACEMAKER are offering a variety of sail-aways throughout the weekend. The Marquette Maritime Museum is taking reservations for these sails. The PEACEMAKER will be offering deck tours of their ship on Saturday and Sunday for a minimal fee.
There will be a variety of vendors at the Marquette Yacht Club and living statues throughout the city. The PEACEMAKER will also be offering tours of their 1950’s restored motor coach free of charge.
All tall ship information is located on the Marquette Maritime Museum’s website listed below. Photos of the ships can also be emailed by request. For more information, please contact Carrie Fries at the Marquette Maritime Museum.
