Tall Ship Weekend in Marquette
The Marquette Maritime Museum, in conjunction with the Marquette Downtown Development Authority, Marquette County Convention and Visitors Bureau and the City of Marquette are hosting a record five tall ships will at Mattson Lower Harbor Park July 19th-21st.
The HINDU, S/V DENIS SULLIVAN, PEACEMAKER, HALIE & MATTHEW and Marquette’s own COASTER II will be in the harbor starting.
All of the ships, except the PEACEMAKER are offering a variety of sail-aways throughout the weekend. The Marquette Maritime Museum is taking reservations for these sails. The PEACEMAKER will be offering deck tours of their ship on Saturday and Sunday for a minimal fee.
There will be a variety of vendors at the Marquette Yacht Club and living statues throughout the city. The PEACEMAKER will also be offering tours of their 1950’s restored motor coach free of charge.
