Executive Director of U.P. Hospice Foundation named

MARQUETTE, MI – Dave Aro has been appointed the Executive Director for the Upper Peninsula Hospice Foundation as part of his role as Director of Operations for Upper Peninsula Home Health, Hospice & Private Duty (UPHHH&PD).

The Foundation’s Executive Director position is a voluntary one, as 100% of all donations to the foundation go directly towards the benefit of hospice patients and their families.  Aro has been active in the community for many years, serving on many non-profit boards and acting as an organizer/volunteer in community programs.

Foundation President Cynthia Nyquist commented, “We are fortunate to have someone of Dave’s caliber to lead our foundation as we work to provide for the growing needs of patients and families who are utilizing hospice.”

Aro stated,  “I am looking forward to working with the board of directors, volunteers, families and community to both raise funds for assisting the families and raise awareness of the benefit of hospice to our community.”

Aro was previously the Executive Director of the Bell Foundation during which several millions of dollars were raised in support of Bell Hospital, as well as Vice President of Operations at Bell Hospital successfully building programs in a number of areas clinically and in volunteer areas.  In addition to his work at UPHHH&PD, Aro is also the General Manager of Superior Rehabilitation & Professional Services (SRPS) of which he is also an owner.
