Bomb threat at Mqt. Twp. hotel

One person is in protective custody after a bomb threat at a hotel in Marquette Township.

It happened at the Days Inn on US-41 shortly after 1 am Sunday.

Michigan State Police from the Negaunee Post say someone called in a bomb threat and also pulled a fire alarm at the hotel.

Guests and employees evacuated the building.

However, there were no bombs on the premises, nor was there a fire.

The male that police took into protective custody was taken to Marquette General Hospital for evaluation.

His name is not available.

The Marquette City Police assisted in the investigation.
