We want to thank the Democratic delegation for their continued leadership in fighting to protect working families in Michigan. As they correctly pointed out the relationship between labor and management in Michigan has been dramatically improving including most recently working hand in hand with President Obama to save the auto industry.
If Governor Snyder continues to push this radical Tea Party legislation on behalf of millionaires it will tear apart the fabric of this state and result in years of contentious fights instead of being able to focus together on creating jobs and rebuilding the middle class. We echo their call that Governor Snyder should veto the bill or at a minimum ask the legislature to delay the vote so the public can be heard.
We also urge the governor to allow the people to vote on this matter and not let their voices be squelched by a lame-duck session using a parliamentary gimmick to prevent the people from voting on it.
