Missing Bessemer Woman Found Deceased
Late last night, police in Gogebic County located what is believed to be the remains of 79 year old Ethel Grzena-Peters. She had been missing for over a week. She was last seen in Bessemer the evening of August 3rd.
The extensive search for the elderly woman had been ongoing by Officers from the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Office and the Michigan State Police, along with assistance from other agencies and volunteers.
The Michigan State Police Crime Lab has been called in to assist as the cause of death has not yet been determined and foul play has not been ruled out.
The matter remains under investigation.
