Fundraiser for Colon Cancer Patient
Negaunee residents are getting ready for a night to help a city resident fight cancer.
Area businesses have been sending in donations for weeks.
The items are in the home of a Negaunee family today, but tomorrow, they’ll be in the silent auction at a fundraiser for 23–year–old Rachael Beacco.
It takes place tomorrow from 4 to 7 at the Knights of Columbus in Negaunee.
Three months ago, Rachael was diagnosed with stage-three colon cancer.
Diane Faust, one of the event’s organizers, says the idea is to demonstrate that Rachael won’t have to battle her cancer by herself.
Rachael recently finished her first round of treatment in Minnesota at the Mayo Clinic.
A $6 donation will get you in the door to her fundraiser tomorrow night.
and it’ll also get you some food and drink.
