MSP Wakefield Post Release 2011 Crime Numbers

The Michigan State police wakefield post had a busy 2011 and today they released specifics of the work that kept them very busy.

The Wakefield post dealt with everything from helping with the investigation that convicted a suspect to felony murder; to participating in the statewide sex offender sweep. Troopers from the post took close to 13 hundred calls for service, Made 114 patrol arrests, and 179 significant investigative counts.

The post issued more than 14 hundred traffic citations, 116 of which were seat belt related. The agency issued more than 24 hundred verbal warnings, arrested 52 fugitives and cleared 64 warrants.

There were 201 traffic accidents in including 4 deaths related to traffic crashes, weather and car versus pedestrian.

Troopers from the post also assisted other law enforcement agencies with a variety of different services. The Wakefield State Police Post covers both Gogebic and Ontonagon Counties.
