Human Remains Found in Schoolcraft County

Human remains have been found in what’s left of a deer blind after a fire in Schoolcraft County. Troopers from the Manistique detachment of the Michigan State Police were dispatched Monday to a reported deer blind fire on public land west off of Flodin Road in Thompson Township.

Police located the human remains of a 69 year old male from Manistique. The cause of the fire and death of the victim is still under investigation. The name of the man is being withheld pending family notification.
