The U.P. Regional Blood Center is asking for a lot of help this month.
They have a critical need for some uncommon blood types this season.
The center is short of O-negative and B-negative blood.
Only 15% of the population has negative blood types, and demand for all negative types is so high that it’s tough to keep pace.
The center is asking people to come in and donate more than ever.
Mobile drive coordinator Sallie Coron urges people to donate blood because you actually might know the person who may need it most.
To find the nearest blood drive site, you can check out their website at www.mgh.gov/blood .
