Workplace Coordinators at Campaign Celebration 4.24.13

United Way Workplace Coordinators

The United Way thanked the workplace coordinators, who handle the fundraising campaign among the employees where they work.  They distribute the information, arrange presentations, encourage participation and collect the pledges for the United Way.

Highest Per Cap UPS

UPS Manager Jim St. Onge holds the award for this year. St. Onge is also a member of the Board of Directors of United Way of Marquette County.

UPS employees pledged the largest amount per employee of any other workplace.  Every single employee participates in the campaign, and the average donation was over $231.  This is the seventh year in a row that they have earned this distinct honor.

Snyder Drug Largest Increase

Snyder Drug earned the award for Highest Percent Increase in campaign pledges over the previous year.  Snyder Drug employees have always been quite generous, and this year they increased their giving by 561%.

In Honor of Waino

Waino with State Certificate

Last, but certainly not least, The United Way issued a special recognition of the late Wai

no Liuha, a dedicated and committed United Way Board member and one of our staunchest advocates for decades.
He passed away in December, and leaves behind a legacy of caring, commitment, kindness and volunteerism.  Our community is a better place for having had Waino.
