United Way of Marquette Co. thanks donors
United Way of Marquette County recently thanked the 2012-13 Campaign Co-chairs with wall plaques for their service. Mark Canale (left) and Christine Pesola (middle) accepted the plaques from United Way’s Board President, Linda St. Arnauld (right). Canale and Pesola worked tirelessly to champion the campaign and made presentations at dozens of workplaces, asking employees to join the cause.
The United Way thanked the workplace coordinators, who handle the fundraising campaign among the employees where they work. They distribute the information, arrange presentations, encourage participation and collect the pledges for the United Way.
UPS employees pledged the largest amount per employee of any other workplace. Every single employee participates in the campaign, and the average donation was over $231. This is the seventh year in a row that they have earned this distinct honor.
Snyder Drug earned the award for Highest Percent Increase in campaign pledges over the previous year. Snyder Drug employees have always been quite generous, and this year they increased their giving by 561%.
