Tuesday’s high school sports recap
UPPER PENINSULA – The stars were out tonight in Delta Co. in both boys and girls basketball Tuesday night. The Marquette girls basketball team edged Gladstone, 38-33. Mid Peninsula used a big second half to get by North Central, 69-58. Wolverines forward Hunter Branstrom had a career high 32 points to go along with 14 rebounds.
In boys high school basketball, Escanaba’s Sam Molnar had a career high 29 points as the Eskymos held off Negaunee for the win. Kingsford guard Dan Harrington had 23 points in the Flivvers victory over Norway.
