Three arrested in bogus Delta Co. robbery

Three Delta County residents are in jail in connection with a robbery reported in August of 2012, including the person who called police.

The clerk at the “Grain N Grape” convenience store on U.S. 2  & 41  & M–35 between Escanaba and Gladstone reported the incident August 3.

She said a man wearing a ski mask and carrying a pistol demanded money….and then left with an undisclosed amount of money.

Annaelise Marie Ambrose, 22, of Escanaba is charged with the four year felony of “Larceny In A Building” “Conspiracy To Commit Larceny In A Building” – a 4 year felony and “Lying To A Police Officer–Violent Crime Investigation” – a 4 year felony.  Ambrose is in the Delta County Jail on a bond of $50,000 cash.

Cory Michael Vanderlinden

The second suspect charged in the case is Cory Michael Vanderlinden, 26, of rural Gladstone.  He faces one five-year felony count of being an “Accessory After The Fact To A Felony.”  His bond is also set at $50,000 cash.

Abby Beth Johnson, 20, of Escanaba has a $100,000 cash bond.  She faces two four–year felony counts in the case: “Larceny In A Building” and “Conspiracy To Commit Larceny In A Building.”

Johnson was also arrested in an unrelated theft of a

safe from a home in Ford River Township in April of 2012.  She was charged with “Safe breaking” – a felony of life or any number of years, and two felony larceny counts.

The three were arrested yesterday and arraigned today in 94th District Court.

The arrests came after a tip to that provided police with information that led to witnesses and suspects on this and other crimes.
