Red Wings re-sign another veteran forward

The Detroit Red Wings decided to bring back forward Dan Cleary for one more season. He agreed to a one-year, $1.5 million deal with Detroit on Thursday. Cleary is coming off of a disappointing season with the Wings.

He had just four goals and eight assists in 52 games last year. Cleary had a plus, minus rating of -11. With Cleary back with the franchise, the Red Wings will have 14 forwards on the roster when training camp begins in September.

The Wings also re–signed goalie Thomas McCollum to a one–year deal.
