New Year’s Resolutions, Part 2

The hardest thing about a New Year’s resolution is just formulating a plan and sticking to it.

An easy way to tackle your new goal is to have someone help.

Marquette General Health System behavioral therapist Mindy Miller says a buddy system — having a friend join you in trying to reach the same goal — can be a useful tool.

So is advice from somebody who’s done it before.

If you’re planning to tackle your resolution alone, Miller recommends setting smaller goals.

She also suggests creating a timetable to reach each small goal.

By doing that, you’re more likely to be successful in reaching your larger goals.
