From Michigan Technological University:

OSHKOSH, Wis. – Despite cold and rainy weather, Jevon Maddox set a Michigan Tech school record in the triple jump to finish second at the UW-Oshkosh Open Saturday. His leap of 47-7 was a personal-best by over three feet and was a provisional qualifying mark.

“I am proud of Jevon’s performance today,” said head coach Joe Haggenmiller. “The weather was less than ideal, but his hard work helped him excel today.”

The Huskies won four events on the day. Quinn Parnell took the win in the 100 (11.0) and 200 (22.25). Nate Saliga won the 400 (50.4) and Ben Kalis won the 110 hurdles (16.19).

Jani Lane employed a blistering final 400 to finish fourth in the 1,500 in 4:06.3, and Nick Wimmer was third in the 800 in 1:59.83.

Tech picked up a pair of runner-up finishes in the relays. The 4×100 team of Jevon Maddox, Nate Hood, Sam McKay and Quinn Parnell finished in a time of 43.92. The 4×400 team of Shawn Shove, Nate Saliga, Jevon Maddox and Allen Harrison finished in 3:33.03.

Jared Berrymen threw 147-8 to finish fifth in the discus. His throw was the seventh best in school history.
