Names released in car-pedestrian accident

Police have released the names of the people involved in an accident in Marquette Friday night, involving a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle.

The Marquette Police Department says that 51-year-old Harlan Wayne Lamb was crossing South Front Street, at the intersection of Front and Genesee, when he was struck by a vehicle just before 10:30 p.m.

Authorities say that as Lamb crossed the street a northbound vehicle in the outside lane had stopped for him. Another northbound vehicle, a 2001 Nissan, driven by 34-year-old Jed Tyne of Eben, was in the left lane and was unable to stop and struck Lamb.

Lamb was taken to Marquette General Hospital where he is currently listed in critical condition.
