Mqt. home intruder arrested

A Marquette man is in jail after entering a home in the city without permission.

However, police say they don’t know yet whether or not he broke in.

It happened shortly after 5 am on the 600 block of Craig Street.

The Marquette Police say the intruder was 40-year-old David Locke.

Police say a man living in the home found Locke in the basement and asked him to leave several times, but Locke wouldn’t leave.

When officers arrived, they found the resident holding Locke at gunpoint.

Police arrested Locke for illegal entry and took him to the Marquette County Jail.

They say alcohol use was a factor in the case.
