Marquette Township Updating Master Plan

Marquette Township is preparing its new master plan, but they need your input.

One major challenge of the master plan: how to develop land sustainability and still meet the needs of the residents and businesses in the area.

Tomorrow, the township will hold an open house to generate ideas and input from the community.

Township Planning Commission chair Ellen Sargent says the master plan is overhauled once every five years, and this year, the planning commission has added something new to the process.

The township hopes to have the plan developed by the end of the year.

The open house starts at 3 and continues until 8pm.

Presentations will take place at both 4 and 7.
