Manistique Man Still on the Lam

Police in Schoolcraft County are still looking for a Manistique man, 8 days after he escaped custody.

49-year-old Charles Lockhart, Jr. was being walked from the Schoolcraft County Courthouse to the jail.

He wasn’t being restrained, and he ran away from a probation officer.

Lockahrt was going to be arrested for violating his parole on an aggravated stalking conviction.

Police say Lockhart stands 6’1″ and weighs about 180 pounds.

He also wears glasses.

The Schoolcraft County Sheriff’s Department says if you should see him, don’t try to stop him.

They suggest calling either 911 or the Sheriff’s Department at 341-2122.
