Jailed Gwinn man accused of B&E spree

A Gwinn man already in jail on other charges is now accused of a series of break-ins in Delta County.

Michigan State Police from the Gladstone Post say he’s 46-year-old Phillip Lanaville. He was arraigned in 94th District Court in Escanaba on Wednesday on 21 felony counts.

The Delta County Sheriff’s Department and Gladstone Public Safety joined the State Police in a year-long joint investigation. The break-ins took place throughout Delta County between May and November of last year. Firearms, money, jewelry and at least one vehicle were stolen.

The Michigan State Police Fugitive Team arrested Lanaville in August on unrelated breaking and entering charges. He’s being held in the Dickinson County Jail on those earlier charges. Police say Lanaville will face a lengthy prison term if he’s convicted.
