Gwinn Drug Store Break-In
Prescription drug theft has become an extremely common crime in the area the last few years.
No wrd yet, though, on whether that’s what a thief or thieves were after during a break-in at a drug store in Gwinn.
State police say it happened at about 12:30 this morning.
A building alarm went off at Snyder Drug on East M-35 in Gwinn.
A person, or people, entered several different areas of the store.
Estimated on the damage and what exactly was taken aren’t available yet.
The suspect, or suspects, fled the scene before police arrived.
A trooper who specializes in forensics was there this afternoon collecting evidence.
State police from the Negaunee Post are still investigating.
