Finlandia Removes the Interim Tag from Alex Ciaccio

HANCOCK — Finlandia University removed the interim tag and named Alex Ciaccio as the new Head Women’s Soccer Coach.

Ciaccio spent the 2014 soccer season as the Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at Finlandia. After the prior coach left for other opportunities, Alex was named the Interim-Head Women’s Soccer Coach.  Prior to coming to Finlandia, Ciaccio played soccer for 3 years at the University of North Dakota and spent 1 year as a student-assistant coach.  Alex has also coached for 4 years at the high school level in Minnesota and North Dakota.

“I am very excited for the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of this program,” said Ciaccio. “With the tremendous support of the university and everyone in it, I am confident this program will be able to reach new heights.”

Ciaccio earned her bachelor’s degree in French language and cultural studies from the University of North Dakota in 2014.
