Community Swine Flu Forum

With Michigan’s number of swine flu cases up to 130, the Marquette County Health Department is hoping to alleviate confusion and concern about the H1N1 virus.

Tomorrow night, the Marquette County Health Department’s Community Health Division is welcoming anyone who wants to attend to an informational meeting on the swine flu.

The county’s Emergency Preparedness Team and the department’s interim medical director will be there to answer any questions about the influenza strain that people might have, on either a local or national level.

The Health Department decided it would be best to hold a community forum to reassure people that, although the need to be mentally and physically prepared is still there, there’s no need for concern.

The community swine flu forum starts at 6pm at the Negaunee Township Hall.
