4G LTE service launches in Escanaba

Escanaba joins a long list of Upper Peninsula cites to receive Verizon Wireless’ high speed 4G LTE service.  Verizon’s 4G LTE service launched in Escanaba on Friday.

Customers with compatible devices are now able to use the high speed and capabilities offered by the nation’s 4G LTE network in and around Escanaba.  Using the 4G LTE network allows customers to have the best experience in wireless data usage when streaming video, sharing music and photos, downloading files and surfing the Web.  Speeds are up to ten times faster than before.

Escanaba joins Hancock, Houghton, Ironwood, Marquette, Menominee and surrounding areas as cities in the U.P. that are covered by the network.

Verizon’s 4G LTE network is available to 273.5 million people across the U.S and offers more 4G LTE coverage than all other networks combined.  The network is available to close to 89 percent of the U.S. population.
