Gladstone house fire extinguished quickly
GLADSTONE– Gladstone Public Safety Officers responded to the 600 block of north 15th street for a house fire after someone saw smoke coming the roof of the residence.
According to the Gladstone Public Safety Department the fire was quickly extinguished after volunteers and officers were able to get inside.
No one was inside of the house at the time but 4 cats were rescued. Two needed medical attention, but all of them were returned to their owner.
The incident is still under investigation at this time, but is believed to have started in the attic area of the home near the back door.
Gladstone Public Safety was assisted by Escanaba Township, Michigan State Police, the Delta County Sheriff’s Department and Rampart.
