An Ontonagon woman is dead after a car crash on US-41 over the weekend.

State Police from the L’Anse Post say it happened just before 4pm yesterday near Alberta.

53-year-old Cindy Miles lost control of her car.

The car crossed into the oncoming lane and was hit by a small SUV.

The impact threw Miles from her car and she died at the scene.

The driver of the SUV, 18-year-old Daniel Krudy from downstate Johannesburg, is in fair condition tonight at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.

A passenger, 20-year-old Paul Castle from Gaylord, is in serious condition at Marquette General.

The crash is still under investigation.
