NMU Room & Board Goes Up, but Tuition Doesn’t
Northern Michigan University students will see an increase in room and board next fall.
Room and board will go up 2.75%, which comes out to $102 more per semester.
NMU’s Board of Trustees approved the increase today.
NMU President Dr. Les Wong also turned down a raise that the board offered him.
The board members still aren’t sure how much federal stimulus money they’ll get.
They have 4 proposals that would bring in $320,000 to keep various positions that are in danger of being cut.
