Ex-NMU hockey player in ECHL

After finishing out his collegiate career with Northern Michigan in March, Andrew Cherniwchan took his hockey talents to Charleston, S.C., to play with the Stingrays of the ECHL.

Cherniwchan played in 13 games with the Stingrays last season. He scored 5 goals and 1 assist- and two of those goals came in the playoffs.

This season, Cherniwchan is back for another stint with the Stingrays, and the former Wildcat is looking to take his game to the next level.

Cherniwchan and his Stingray teammates will play their first regular season game a week from Saturday, October 13, against the Gwinnett Gladiators.
