U.P. “Feds Feed Families” campaign a success
The staff at Keweenaw National Historical Park recently participated in the Department of the Interior’s “Feds Feed Families” campaign.
This nationwide campaign engages Federal employees from all agencies in feeding our nation’s hungry children.
During the month of August, the park’s Workplace Enrichment Committee launched this initiative to help feed the hungry children in Copper Country communities.
Boxes were placed in the Park Headquarters building and were filled with items such as pasta, soups, juice, canned vegetables and meats, cereal, and snacks.
All items were delivered to the Baraga-Houghton-Keweenaw Community Action Agency food bank in Houghton.
