Riley Greene Undergoes Tommy John Surgery
DETROIT, Mich.- Riley Greene, the Detroit Tigers Starting Outfielder, underwent Tommy John Surgery, Manager AJ Hinch announced on Wednesday. Greene could reportedly be ready for 2024 Spring Training, according to Hinch.
After being drafted fifth overall in 2019, Greene rose through the ranks swiftly and seamlessly. He spent just over two years in the minor leagues before transitioning to a big league role.
In 99 games, Greene’s official 2023 MLB season ended with a .349 OBP, .796 OPS and .288 BA, hitting for 11 homeruns and 39 RBIs. Greene played in the centerfield this season.
