Mountain biking at Marquette Mountain

MARQUETTE — With summer almost in full swing Marquette Mountain will be transitioning from ski slopes to biking trails.

The Mountain is getting ready for a great season of mountain biking, and they even have new transportation to the top of the mountain.

“So this summer we are going to try a shuttle service for mountain biking,” explained Andrew Farron, General Manager at Marquette Mountain. “The shuttle will take you up to the top of the ski hill here; which is 650 vertical feet. Then it will come back down to the base area. So we have about 5 trails already built.”

Now the trails range from advanced intermediate level to some expert runs.
There will also be some beginner trails which should be available in the fall and even some practice runs out on the base of the mountain.

“We are hoping to develop a little skills park down here at the base,” explained Andrew. “People can practice on it while they wait for the shuttle. We are also going to have that available to the customers at the T-Bar.”

The T-Bar will also be opening its dog friendly patio and have volley ball nets for anyone to come and use during operation hours.
