NEGAUNEE — For those who love to shop, whether it’s vintage or new, handmade items, a new flea market is happening this Saturday. The Fancy Iron Flea will be in Downtown Negaunee beginning at 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

This event is a flea market style gathering of all things from home and garden to vintage clothing. It is also free for anyone to attend.

“Downtown Negaunee, specifically, has three really big antique stores. So, we already have a lot of customers, especially during the summer. We have a lot of tourists coming in to look at our old historic buildings. So we thought let’s have a flea market and open it up to the public instead of a community–wide sale we’re going to have a specific spot in Downtown Negaunee and hopefully this will be an annual thing” said Event Coordinator for the Downtown Negaunee Business Association, Mary Hanna Ockerman.

If you are unable to attend the first flea market on Saturday, there will be two more before the summer is over. The next two dates are scheduled for Friday, July 12th, and Saturday, August 3rd.

They are still looking for vendors who would like to sell their items as well. More information about the dates and becoming a vendor is available here.
