ISHPEMING — The Carnegie Public Library hosted an art event today called “Bad Art” where young kids got the opportunity to express themselves.

Any child who is 10 years or older was able to participate by painting on a canvas with no parameters. This activity started at 2 pm and was free to all who participated.

The library wanted to give kids an opportunity to express their feelings through art and connect with the other youth within the community.

“We are just all about cultivating creativity in all of its forms,” said, Carnegie Public Library Director, Jesse Shirtz. “We try to offer a lot of different avenues for kids to explore that and this event is one that seems to be pretty popular.”

This event will be hosted one more time at the Carnegie Public Library on June 28th at 2 pm.
