ISHPEMING — With Biking season now in full swing, riders may be looking for a new challenge out on the trails.

The Range Area Mountain Biking Association is adding another element to their trails. A new technical course is being installed at the Howard Oil Building Trailhead. The course is a great way for riders to enhance their skills, reflexes and more on the trails.

“We’ve put in a new beginner loop with teeter-totters, some small bridges, some skill-building apparatus that we have on one trail, and currently we’re building a boardwalk roughly 400 feet long that will encompass all different types of skill-building activities.”

Hill hopes that the boardwalk will be completed, along with most of the park, by the end of June. There will also be a new pump track going in front of the building.

The new addition is a great way for riders to warm up while waiting for riding partners.
