Superior Central’s Greg Trowbridge resigns at girls’ varsity basketball coach

Eben Junction – Superior Central Girls’ Varsity Basketball Coach Greg Trowbridge submitted
his resignation today citing medical reasons.

Trowbridge took over the Varsity program in 2006. He led the Cougars to six conference championships (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, and 2014) and six district championship 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, and 2014). He was U.P. Class D Coach of the Year in 2012 and finishes his career with a 166-103 record.

“As a district we appreciate all that Greg has done for our basketball program. He will be missed,” said Athletic Director Kristine Bray.

“We know that this was a difficult decision for Greg. I hope that in the future he will continue to work within our basketball program,” stated Bill Valima K-12 Principal/Superintendent.
